well ... to be serious for a moment, I do prefer the wrangling and deal-making required to make a minority government work.

I think that balance works better than the "checks and balances" system of the American political construct.
However, a minority can only last so long - eventually, a majority has to step in and screw the country up enough to warrant another minority.
Mulroney did it, Cretien did it, Martin tried to do it, and by God, Harper's going to give it a shot. Maybe even Layton at some point, too, if we're lucky.
