no trouble at all with the treatment. She has been pretty bad off for awhile so they think that might have impacted how well it worked for her. Her muscles have been so unused for so long that it could only do so much.

From what I remember, the people who it hits hard and fast typically have a better reaction as their muscles are still there and can get back up to speed alot quicker.

Even with it all, they would do it again. Her balance was shot to hell and now she can stand up without worrying about falling over all the time, her mobility has improved alot just not as much as some she had talked too.

Your friend should talk to people at your local MS Society as the MIL did that and got alot of good advice and stories before they decided to do it.
