I didn't watch "don't trust" yet; but "revenge" was interesting - if way too freaking dark. (nm but whine)

I don't know what the deal is with it and some other shows lately - extra dark, even in scenes where it's not called for ("house" does this a lot). last night's "revenge" and last week's, I could not see what was going on in some scenes *at all* - last week, I actually had to go look at a recap; and I should for last night's, too.
I don't have a big or hi def tv, but loads of others don't either; and the shows/networks have to know that.
