You can throw liberal Oregon into the mix. I even voted for it when I was voting party line politics.

I made a big mistake that I will correct the next chance I get to vote on it. I am ashamed, but happy to say that I have changed on the issue. In High School, Military, and in my 20s I was a huge homophobe. I had a friend that I went camping with we shared a pup tent. He came out later that he was gay. I had some work people (women that new before me). When I said we had gone camping together they started asking weird questions about it. Later when he came out, I found out why. He didn't try to make a move on me like uneducated people think. So that is when my bias started to turn. Oh, it was a long process, but finally I was friends with someone gay. So I did what any straight guy with a gay friend would do. I started asking all the stupid questions that I was curious about but never really could ask. Not that he was the gay spokesman, but I wanted to know things. Like when you knew, showering in a locker room if a guy is hot do you get arroused like I would if I was showering with a hot woman?

Really stupid stuff but I am being honest here. So homophobia does hav e a cure. It's called education, and a person being open to change.

Anyway the Oregon vote came up about a year too soon. I wasn't quite there yet.

Honest truth. Always trying to grow as a person
