We had the same problem. Our daughter screamed and screamed (the hospital actually sent her back to our room at one point) because there wasn't enough milk production. We went to a specialist that was recommended by our local league who spent a half hour guilting us and telling us we hated our child if we formula fed her, etc... We switched to formula and she became the happiest baby because she wasn't hungry anymore.
