If I was to watch a Bond film is there a must see one or do I need to watch the first to know what's going on in other films?

A few people mentioned favorites but there were a bunch. I'm going to watch one this weekend and there are what, 20+ films? Goldeneye, Dr. No and Goldfinger seem to be the top choices. Could I watch any of them and not have to worry about being in the dark about what's going on?
