mythtv can become a dlna/upnp server

so the xbox will find it automatic like.
its the roku that is a problem.
the hdhomerun is just one option, there are others out there, the nice thing about it is that its independent of the computer, so your laptop could pick up a stream if you wanted.
there are pre-set versions of linux that are built to just run mythtv, mythbuntu is a good version to use (if its still called that) checks the specs on what it needs for a computer. also make sure that it has drivers for the hdhomerun, or whatever card you use, pre-installed.
then all you have to do is set it up (pretty simple if you follow the onscreen prompts). transcoding isnt hard to setup either (you may want to read the wiki). you will have to transcode to get stuff onto a roku.
