i hear both here. i would say rhymes-with-teen is more proper, but rhymes-with-tin is probably common-usage. -- nm

more - i think we would use the 'bean' version with 'i have been'... and we use the 'bin' version with 'i've bin...'. -- nm

It sort of depends on where it is in the sentence. In the middle : "bin". At the end: "bean". -- nm
