Almost all do. Sometimes not a grand "hero saves the princess" adventure, but most 2 hour films tell the story of something.

Whether its the story of how an old decrepit dude makes eggs in the morning or the story of two cowboys love-banging in the mountains or the story of how if you spill water on Gizmo he goes batshit, they are all stories. The question is, was your story worth making a feature film out of, and if it isn't, then in almost all cases, no matter how unbelieveable the acting, directing, etc. is, no one will give a shit, b/c you didn't really say anything.
