Also, cheap financing is what makes a lot of innovative start-ups viable options. Without cheap financing, there may be a lot of enviro-friendly businesses that will never happen.
Negotiations on a new climate change treaty begin in Copenhagen next year. If the economic downturn continues, the incentive for governments to negotiate emissions reductions are going to be a lot lower.
So there are three examples - they're all incalculable, but they would all have a big impact
