as a wedding photog, one of the things I would ask about was: Any significant family divorces/feuds I should know about.

cause I would normally try to cover as much of the family tree as possible, I know everybody talks about the candid shots, but the images that were ORDERED, especially in multiples, were the family shots. (and since I charged ala carte by the print, I made a lot of money on some odd groups like mom and her sibs often sold more prints than the wedding party group)
but sometimes I would get a shot that was technically illegal, cause the mom and dad had a bitter divorce and had a restraining order yet here I am posing them together (seriously, this actually happened) like one series, mom, dad and bride in the middle, looking at hte camera, looking at the bride, then I move the parents back, and together like they were dancing, looking at the bride, they are back a few feet and slightly out of focus, a cool winsome image, then I'd shoot one of the couple together, I was in the middle of doing this when the family started clapping, the parents went along with it, but literally it was the first time they were in the same room since he took a few shots at her on the street with a 38 ten years ago
