No argument from me on that. Looking up, you seem to be arguing there *is* a difference between Apple and Android in that regard.

The difference is that any handset manufacturer can license the Android OS, so you get 25 phones from 5 manufacturers with 5 different GUIs built over the base Android OS.
Obviously that leads to a greater variety of user experiences. For the better, IMO. Mostly because the Apple way of doing things usually befuddles me.
