back in the early 90s, before my family moved to KC, my dad was working on a project with/for Nissan. He had to fly out there multiple times, and people from Nissan flew out to where we lived. We ate dinner with a couple of them many times, and yes, we had sushi (that brought and prepared it all, or something, still didnt like it).
