from BB : It is likely just a sprain. Is there swelling?

if you can move around without a huge swelling issue, I would just take some ibuprofin and ice it when you are sitting down, elevate it.
Responses:
i cant really tell on the swelling

what groiny said. If you ruptured a bursa (which is common from banging the knee) it would swell up quick. -- nm

I had mine checked: alot of arthitis; but also getting an x-ray as she thought there might be a bone spur or a lose peice or something

it could also be a small tear in the cartilidge, and that might not show on an xray.

I read your post above. My knee has almost no swelling though so hopefully not the same thing -- nm
