Since this is election fraud, firing them is the minimum. People are going to jail over this because it's a federal crime.

It is so easy to imagine what transpired here. Everyone forgot there was a deadline and someone realized with a day or two left that they had to get some names. Then, they panicked and demonstrated how amateurish most crimes are.
