The Republicans are normally much much better than this at controlling the conversation. Romney would have the win right now if the GOP could focus.

The story is the economy. Hammer home the story that most people are no better off financially now than they were 4 years ago and Romney wins. Either the Republicans can't do that or the Dems have run a fantastic counter strategy to keep attention away from the economy. I'm not sure which it is, but Obama will easily win like this.
