You can get the good (and I mean g-o-o-d) scotches, bourbons, and Canadians at the duty free store at the Peace Arch.

It's so cheap that even if you don't stay 24 hours in Canada and have to pay tax it's still cheaper than a liquor store in WA. If you stay 24 hours, each adult can bring back 2 liters of booze duty free.
