In response to "hmm, the PT Cruiser I was looking at (for $2995) has an ICBC status of 'Rebuilt' .. that doesn't bode well. Explains the price, though. -- nm" by Beryllium

a ten year old 120,000m (200km?) car is still at the end of its life, doesn't matter if its wrecked, depends on when it happened

IE: a fender bender recently would likely mean it was towed to a yard, the 30-40 a day impound charge on top of a replaced bumper and some paint would mean the car was totalled, even if the damage was insignificant to a one year old car.

it doesn't mean it is a franken car with a front and rear end welded together with a 3rd engine/tranny
