so after 2 digital antenaes purchases and returned, seems all we needed was a new TV that had a converter built in ($249 taxes in; 24" LED/LCD

with built in DVD player.
Reception for the 3 channels expected at The Lake = what I'd imagine to be HD quality (Global, CTV and CBC). Still accepts our Super Nintendo hookup as well.
All told we are very pleased.
