at least I think that's the point trying to be conveyed ... everyone get's tired of the "it's not my job" syndrome that appears to be so prevalent these days.

As a matter of fact - when I have an experience where someone actually DOES take the initiative, I've often tried to convey in writing or verbally to management that they have someone doing a good job for them!
