Since we are playing the "should I be pissed game" on ST today. My downstairs neighbor started playing the piano. He sucks, so he continues to play

the same song and repeats parts of it when he screws up (every min or two). I am typically not home during the day so I don't really know when he started all this but he has been doing it for the past week.
My problem: I need to sleep during the day sometimes (I am doing night shifts in the ER now). Or I need to study and having a constant noise is rather annoying.
Today he started at 10am, he plays for like 20min and then takes a 10min break or so.
I placed 2 notes on his door asking to stop. Thursday I knocked on his door and asked him to stop playing for 3 hours so I can nap for my night shift. He stopped.
I have now called the home owners association and they want me to make it official (put something in writing).
The bigger problem: In a month I will be home for like a month studying for my board exam... I certainly can't have him playing then.
I don't want to be that neighbor who complains... but shit.
(Homeowners representative said he can play 1 hour a day, which I would be okay with.)
(He is a 50+ year old or so Korean man who doesn't seem to be employed)

Sorry to say but he's playing in "normal hours" and you reall can't fault him or be angry with him. -- nm

That sucks, but I'd have a hard time getting too pissed at the guy for playing reasonable volume during the day.

Try to work *with* him so he can play, but not annoy you.
