is in part that I don't even get where Noomi or even the Captain are drawing their conclusions from. If the black biomass we saw the Engineer drink in the beginning of the movie was a way to seed the Earth with DNA, it would make sense that those canisters were there to seed other planets, not to cause harm, and the harm came from the biomass corrupting other DNA.
But if she's right, how did she come to that conclusion, especially when David could read the language and even he completely got it wrong with the Engineer who tore his head off?
