that the movie was ambiguous about the questions/answers it gives. it was a lazy setup, possibly because there are more planned movies.

i wont say i hated the acting, i didn't, i disliked the way most of the characters were written. The biologist, the rock guy, the "security" guys on the ship.

it was trying to be both a bit of a scary thriller, but also a contemplative movie about origins, humanity, etc, and i think it failed on both.
