I'm sure that's why the med bay was set that way, I just question the legitimacy of a gender-specific piece of technology in 2093 (or whatever it was). With Theron in the life-pod as well, it would make sense if she was human it would be calibrated for both (the old man and her). Otherwise, it could just be that Weyland is a old-dickhead after all :)
