I have some of the same issues, but not horribly. When it gets really hot the a/c can't keep up.

Our place is like that. In winter the downstairs is unbearably cold. In summer, downstairs feels much nicer. At least 10 degree diff. -- nm

Maybe. During the winter, we have the thermostat in the low 70s, yet the upstairs is in the mid 60s.

Our house inside is 2.5 levels and it's always warmer upstairs.....opening the upstairs windows in the early morning and keeping the downstairs
