I had a two hour conversation with my dad last night trying to explain the details of Prometheus to him and urging him to watch the SG movie.

He'd previously dismissed it because he'd caught a few episodes of the show on tv years ago and concluded, "If the other side is so dangerous I don't understand why they don't just close the door. How many stories can you really tell about going back and forth through the door?"
