Does anyone know which one of Spawn/Remlik's friends wrote Fanboys?

Because I saw it today and other than the fact that none of them are bald and neither Spawn or Remlik remind me of a more annoying version of Jack Black, this literally could be a true story derived from their geek-friendship.

Oh, and the movie sucks about as much as reading Spawn and Remlik's veiled love letters to each other on ST. :)
