There was a mention that he was tested for Asperger's and it was inconclusive or something to that effect, so I assumed he did not have Asperger's. But it makes sense, based on how he is acting.
I do like von Sydow in this, and I thought Hanks and Bullock had some good scenes (the scene of her staring out the window begging him to leave the WTC and come home was tough to watch), but I'm not liking the kid. The movie itself is...meh.
