I'm actually a bit surprised that the disapproval number is that low

I think there's a good chance established Latinos just become more conservative about immigration than immigrants and children of immigrants (I can see Vermy's point playing into this). I have no research to back this up, but I think some Latinos might have an issue with the age of the "children" that might be affected, which IIRC is up to 30 y.o. Even though they may have been children at the time of immigration.
