I am supposed to be getting a new insulin pump - but the one catch is that my doctor needs to sign the approval form for a new one.

I haven't seen my doc in RI for 6 months because I, ya know, moved. So the pump rep is heading to his office to ask the doc to sign the form anyway, even though technically I'm not his patient anymore.

I don't have a doc down here yet, so I can't be asking someone down here to sign the form. We're all hoping RI Doc will sign it, but it looks like he might not do it without seeing me again at some point.

If a $150 plane ticket and an unpaid day off of work means I get a $5k piece of medical equipment for free, I'm all for it. But it's still a pain in the ass. :)
