so my friend mike has a son B who is 17. B mainly lives with his mom, K, who is engaged to M.
M was on the computer at K's house last week and B had left skype open and logged on.
no good can ever come of leaving skype open.
so some dude skypes B (but actually it's M, see?) essentially asking to cyber. so M freaks out, tells K, and they investigate.
turns out B has 40 people, all dudes, in his skype list he's never met with whom he's cybering.
so K has grounded him, and I don't know if I'm okay with this. K is kind of walking a fine line between "grounded for cybering strangers" and "grounded for being gay," one, and two, it's not like he's meeting these people. he's bright enough to stay anonymous. other than like video or photos leaking when he's 40 (which will happen, but which will happen to everyone, really, eventually, so it won't even matter anymore), I don't see this as that big a deal.
do you?
