Really? I thought he was a weak point as well but for exactly the opposite reason. IMO he was trying too hard and taking the role too seriously

Reminded me of the story of singer of the Blazing Saddles title song who took it took completely serious and sang the song with depth that was at odds with the film. Though in that case it worked
Not so much in Rock of Ages
I was listening to the soundtrack (thank you studio promo) and really considering to go see it again. Have the excuse that Veronica wanted to see it
