for me, it's stereotyping done by car salesmen.

and it's a stereotypical thing for them to do -- who act like that's a primary concern of women but not men.

at some point, of course, colors need to be discussed; but it got so ridiculous during past car-buying experiences, when it was the first question asked by mulitiple salespeople (usually men) at multiple dealerships that I actually started off telling new ones that if they asked me that before we discussed any other features, they would not be selling me a car.

so far down the list of things I care about/what most women (or men) care about.
