I have a tech question. last night, we tried to play m4v files from my (ridic sexy) new thumb drive to a friend's roku (which, yes, has a USB port).

it yelled at me because the thumb drive wasn't formatted properly.
can I reformat my thumb drive? how? thanks. (we want to watch heart of archness.)
Responses:
My new Sony DVD player also has a USB port, but is very picky as to file format.

Yeah, it's probably a situation where that's the default error message for unrecognized file formats.
