I see one big lava fall. I built my temp house near the base.

The fall appears to go down to a cave but I don't know how large it gets down there yet.
There's a bunch of sand in the north and north west on islands and the spawn island appears to one very large island with a lot of trees and grass surrounded by sand and some water but not a ton, IIRC.
