Yikes! A friend just called to say the apartment he's been renting was being rented to him by someone that isn't the owner.

The real owner just showed up and told him he has to be out by tomorrow. He's been there for two weeks! That's all the details I know. I'm headed over there now to help him pack his stuff. I"m not sure where he's going to find a place to live in 24 hours. He has two kids so he has to find somewhere to go immediately and can't just crash at someone's house. He was evicted from his last apartment by the city because it was an illegal apartment and the owner refused to do the work to make it legal. It was a fire hazard issue so he was kicked out of there with very little notice. He thought he got lucky when he found his current place. I feel so bad for him and his kids. He knows a lot of people so hopefully someone can hook him up with another place right away.
