someone sort of similar actually happened when i was living in my own super-crappy apartment in university...

it was sort of a divey place, but, hey, i could afford my own apartment while in school and it had actual rooms, so, what did i care if the other tenants (it was two story, 8 unit type place) were somewhat crazy?

so, the crazy lady in one of the ground floor places gets evicted eventually. another student i sort of know moves in to her old place. he comes home one day a few weeks laster and his key doesn't work. he gets the landlord to come try his key. nope. then the crazy lady starts screaming at them from inside the apartment. she says it's hers and she isn't leaving and blah blah blah. turns out she just called a lock smith, and becaause she still had ID with that address on it, locksmith came, changed the lock for her, gave her a new key and she was in convinced that she still lived there.

police came, took her away.

locks got changed, again.
