worship or believe or what have you; they want to impose a lot of strictures on society as a whole (no sex ed, no aid to international family planning, no stem cell research, no booze on Sundays, on and on ad infinitum) that come from the dictates of their religion. I think it's absolutely fair for people who DON'T believe in these stories to say "Hey, odds are about 1.00000001 to 1 that some guy made all of this shit up about 1500 years ago and none of it means anything or has any place in public policy."
