IMO, no. The not-for-profit endeavors are different.

The Red Cross offers a secular need. The Church provides a limited benefit to those that follow that doctrine.
NFP Church hospitals should be tax-free, but the church itself should not, imo.
I know that's not how it is, but that's how I think it should be.
