truthful answer - it depends. It would depend on what condition they were checking for and it would depend where you were.

i had to get a brain MRI, not urgent at all, i waited 6 weeks. If they suspect something serious and requiring immediate care, you could get it the next day.
i had to get an ultrasound in January - i called at 11 and they called me at 12:30 and told me to come now.
it depends.
