For the record...health care/insurance...that's what I do. It's what I've done for the last 15 years...

And sure...you pay for your shit right now...have a heart attack. need a major surgery. get in a car wreck.
That's TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars coming out of all of our pockets.
Congrats on being so above everyone else...I just hope nothing bad ever happens to ya...cause it'll be on my dime.
I see everyday how much we write off to bad debt that we KNOW we'll never see a penny of. How many charges come through our ER every day that we KNOW we'll never see a dime of.
i don't know about you, but when i've not had health insurance, i paid 100% cash out of my pocket, not taking advantage of "free" services
i'm practice what i preach. i could have gotten food stamps and housing assistance in Maine because their standards are so lax, but i didn't because it wasn't right.
sooo.... don't preach at me about how my not having health insurance costs YOU money.

And there was always a chance you'd suffer some large-cost episode that you could not cover out of pocket.

But you got lucky, when you thought you were uninsured, you actually were because the government won't let you die in a car crash without at least
