there is no need for that. you did it last board, and that's what bothers me. i'm talking about this as a concept, bigger picture and you pointed at me and said *I* am costing *you* money.
that's bullshit and i told you why - i've NEVER cost YOU money because of my healthcare. i'm not saying i'm better than everybody else. i didn't like being off healthcare, but i took reasonable precautions for the few brief times that i have been. and when i needed to go to the doctor, i paid for it in full out of pocket. when i'm under insurance, i'm paying in to a system that is supposed to spread out those costs to willing participants. if *that's* what you're saying is costing you money, then .. well.. i don't have much to say to that. but trying to call me out for not having insurance (which i do) and costing you money (which i have not) isn't an argument.

I don't think he meant *you* in particular.

Would it have been better to say "people who don't have insurance are costing people who do have insurance money"? Does that make it sit better with

And there was always a chance you'd suffer some large-cost episode that you could not cover out of pocket.

But you got lucky, when you thought you were uninsured, you actually were because the government won't let you die in a car crash without at least

Now you are starting to act like you're you own doctor... which is part of the problem of people being uninsured -- nm
