but it also takes quite a lot of energy to change the temperature of water, so if you have a cooling system on hand, dry air would be easier to cool,

but then you also have to consider that dry air won't stay cool as long.

- Yup. But that takes advantage of the energy lost by the hot, dry air to evaporate the water with the end result being cooler more humid air - JD Jul 2, 15:30
