I'm actually not sure which feels worse.
It's kind of like getting broken up with. When the breaker doesn't give you a reason, you can chalk it up to 'well, she's crazy' (or if you're female, "he's afraid of commitment!"). But it they give you a list of reasons, that can be a lot more depressing.
