too, with no promise of increase in value, there's no long-term upside other than income tax deduction.

unless we see rental costs just start to skyrocket (and I am in a very well-insulated area, so I am immune to this), making the "prix fixe" of mortgages sexier, I don't see a point to spending an extra $500 per month to live in a slightly bigger house farther from town that's not on a bus route (the B bus is *not* a route. no way).
