honestly, I would expect some local asshole teenagers to deliberately shoot some off right in the 'barking lot" but even the best laid plans go astray

I went camping in the middle of a national forest area on the border between CA and NV, near mono lake. a place so devoid of humanity that there was nobody else around on the busiest camping day of the year.
all day military jets flew and blasted sonic booms that were worse than anything a firework could do.
when I moved here, I decided to try camping on the beach, yeah that was a big mistake as everybody brought their fireworks there to blow off over the water/surf, big illegal things
