hard for big stadium acts to do this because the same folks will lock up the venues

CK can play in most any theatre and there are always older drama/classic music centers with large enough for a comedy crowd, but for 20-30 thousand, not too many football stadiums want to deal with amatuers and usually have exclusive contracts with a TM promoter, that's the bill graham model
