bad weather came through town yesterday, ko'd a bunch of trees, everyone pruning back this weekend ... so, now was as good a time as any for me to ,,,

trim back a few trees at my parents' house. One on the corner of the property was really needing it. SOme of the lower branches were smacking the postal carrier's truck every time he came along ... I'm sure, come monday, he'll be glad to see some pruned back tree limbs ...
mostly done... in the next couple of days, I break out the tree saw extension and go for a few limbs that are a little higher up ...
I thought my dad would actually be bitching about it, just because he's the type to bitch about needing something done, and then when someone else (read--me!) decides to a) actually do something to help him out, and b) do it without having to be asked, I would have thought that he'd have found something in that to bitch about. He was surprisingly quiet and non-bitchy...so, maybe that's part of why i actually enjoyed doing a little yard work this evening.
