I found it for $14 bucks at Goodwill. I really didn't care if it leaked or not because I won't be filling it with water.

Going to wrap three sides with tin foil to force any stray light back inside. The LED bulbs I bought (Miracle LED brand) are 2 watts use 50 watt equivalent with 30,000 hour lifespan. So I am going to use 4 bulbs (3 on the 50 gallon, and 1 for a small 10 gallon). 8 watts total power should really not even show up on the energy bill.
I am going to rotate the herbs so that when one gets old and begins to seed, I will take it out, let it seed, and use the seeds to start new plants. Just keep rotating seedlings to adult sizes.
It will take some practice to get it so that I always have herbs to use. I have been wanting to do this for years. I was growing tomatoes inside, but I simply don't have the room for that now that I share a condo with the GF.
