Furlough coming any day now! How much notice do you need?

It's been a weird couple months at work. Rumors flying all around about furlough coming "next week" but then it doesn't. We're running out of work (not really, there's always work, but volume is way down). The budget for this year isn't more than last year and they furloughed us last year specifically because of budget. Normal furlough time (projected every year) is 3 months. This year they changed that to 4-6 months. But there's a new budget October 1st. A team member keeps saying, "it'll be the end of July like it always is". He may be right. But I'm champing at the bit to get OUT. I've been on a phone line that drives me crazy some days.
